David McMullin is a recipient of the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Award, the Aaron Copland Award, and a MacDowell Colony Fellowship, among other honors. Residing and working in Boston, he is Director of the American Composers Forum of New England, is a member of the Executive Committee of the ISCM, and was President of the League of Composers from 2000 to 2005. He holds a Ph.D. in music theory and composition from New York University and a B.A. in music from Yale. He has studied composition with Louis Karchin, Brian Fennelly, Charles Wuorinen and Andrew Imbrie, and his works have been performed by professional ensembles in the United States, Europe and Asia.
