Oboist Jacqueline Leclair, is the oboe professor at Bowling Green State University as well a faculty member of the Manhattan School of Music’s Contemporary Music graduate program. She has presented solo and chamber music concerts internationally and can frequently be heard performing in New York City and elsewhere. Ms. Leclair is the oboist for Sequitur and Alarm Will Sound. Ms. Leclair specializes in the study and performance of new music, and is the editor of Luciano Berio’s “Sequenza VIIa Supplementary Edition.” She has recorded extensively, and has premiered over 100 new works, most recently the oboe concertino, Iridule, by Charles Wuorinen which is dedicated to Ms. Leclair and the New Millennium Ensemble. The New York Times has reviewed Ms. Leclair’s performances as “astonishing” and as having “electrifying agility,” and the New Yorker has referred to Ms. Leclair as “lively” and “wonderful.”
