Sue Ann Kahn, flute

Sue Ann KahnFlutist Sue Ann Kahn won the Naumburg Chamber Music Award as a member of the Jubal Trio, and the American New Music Consortium Award for her performances of contemporary music. Ms. Kahn has recorded music of all periods for MMG, Vox-Candide, Capstone, New World, CRI, and most recently, The Mozart Flute Quartets for Albany Records. Her performances have been broadcast nationwide. She performs recitals of unusual interest with pianist and fortepianist Andrew Willis, and appears regularly with the Jubal Trio, the League-ISCM Chamber Players, and various other ensembles. A past president of the New York Flute Club and a long-time member of the Flute Club Board of Directors, Ms. Kahn was President of the National Flute Association in 2005. Formerly Professor of music at Bennington College, she is on the faculty of the Chamber Music Conference and Composers Forum of the East, New York University, and Columbia University’s Music Performance Program, and is a member of the flute and chamber music faculty of Mannes College of Music, where she directs the Preparatory Division.
