The Rhythm Method Fall Fling
The League of Composers/ISCM presents an exciting show with The Rhythm Method on Friday, November 8 at Sō Percussion Space in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The program will feature the resplendent work "worlds between bodies" by inti figgis-vizueta, which was premiered at Broad Statements earlier this year. Additionally, new and recent compositions by Leah Asher, Carrie Frey, and Meaghan Burke will be performed, along with a piece by Justine Leichtling from last summer's Lake George Composer's Institute.

Sheree Clement & Robert Sirota
Composers Robert Sirota and Sheree Clement present Sacred and Profane, a performance that invites audiences to explore the dual narratives of conflict and reconciliation. A unique blend of chamber music and opera, Sirota and Clement’s music grapples with the human condition through the lenses of comedy, drama, and lyricism. The evening will feature an all-star group of performers including soprano Ariadne Greif, baritone Paul Pinto, the Momenta Quartet, cellist Benjamin Larsen, pianist Hyungjin Choi, flutist Roberta Michel, violists Jonah Sirota and Nadia Sirota, and percussionist Katherine Fortunato.

INSPIRED BY NEW ORLEANS
The League of Composers-ISCM presents a concert featuring works inspired by New Orleans, showcasing compositions by celebrated composers Odaline de la Martinez and Barbara Jazwinski. The program includes arias and duets from de la Martinez's opera Imoinda: A Story of Love and Slavery, alongside a selection of Jazwinski's chamber works. This unique performance highlights the talents of acclaimed artists, including sopranos Manna K. Jones and tenor Robert Mack; pianists Kyle Walker and Steven Beck; violinist Marina Kifferstein; violist Leah Asher; cellist Meaghan Burke; and bassoonist Marta Troicki. This New York concert offers a captivating blend of operatic and instrumental pieces, emphasizing the diverse influences of New Orleans on these two distinguished composers.
